About the Artist
Margaret McLoughlin expresses her creativity by working in a large range of media- from oil painting on canvas to mixed-media works on paper, printmaking and silk painting—all of which influence each other and help to maintain a freshness and integrity.
Her works are recognisable as expressions of her passion for vibrant colour, pattern, texture, strong form and the figure. Margaret’s compositions, commonly lyrical, often reveal a story and recent works are strongly inspired by views of the local Yarra Valley landscape.
