TarraWarra Museum of Art
TarraWarra Museum of Art is located in the beautiful Yarra Valley region, just one hour’s drive from Melbourne.
Throughout each year the Museum presents seasonally changing exhibitions within an award-winning building set in the rolling hills of the natural landscape.
Since opening in 2003, the Museum has become recognised as a cultural jewel of the Yarra Valley, providing visitors with an enjoyable and inspiring experience which combines stunning architecture with the very best of Australian and international modern and contemporary art.
TarraWarra captures the vision of the Museum’s founders, philanthropists Eva Besen AO and Marc Besen AC, passionate collectors of Australian art from the 1950s to the present day. Not only did they gift the building that houses the Museum, they also donated a significant proportion of their collection of modern and contemporary Australian art for the enjoyment of all visitors from Australia and abroad.
